Christmas Blessings!

Merry Christmas to all of my friends and may the New Year bring you much peace, love and happiness. Here are a few of my favorite ones:

These are Kelli's children.....getting so big. The baby will be two in February! We all had a wonderful Christmas Day. I spent the eve before at her house also. I am always my happiest when I am with all of my grandchildren. And it was a fun-filled day. There was a lot going on....and I didn't get a picture of L.J., but he was there with all of the cousin's.....having a fun time too. He is just precious.....just like the rest of them...and I will get a recent picture of him soon.

Take care and may God bless you all.

A month has passed since my last post.....and I want to thank you for your love and prayers for Kelli and our family. She is doing remarkably well. I didn't think that she would have come this far so soon. But each time I see her beautiful smile...I know that she is healing and carrying on with her mommy duties!

This week was a busy one for her. Gianna's birthday was on Tuesday. She turned five years old! I took off and spent the day with them and we had another session with "Build A Bear". Will post pictures on that later. Then, the girl's started back to school....just for Thursday & Friday. So Kelli has been busy getting them ready with all the necessary gear they need. Gianna is so ready for Kindergarten....and will be attending all day. Most of the schools in our area have incorporated a full day for the five year olds. It seems like a long day for these little ones, doesn't it? On Thursday, Kelli had to go with her....the session was abbreviated...just for an hour and a half. Gianna asked her when she was leaving! And then of course she was on her own for Friday.

Hailee is starting the third grade. She has attended the same school for the last two years. This year she is in a portable classroom which means that she will have to leave the portable to go to the bathroom. Of course I wanted to know if safety was a factor and she assured me that the portable was very close to the door that she would use to enter into the building. Then she reminded me that when she was in the fifth grade, she was in a portable and had to go much further to get into the school building. Oh yeah! I remember that now. So glad she brought that to my attention!

McStinker is 18 months old now. He is growing at leaps and bounds. He is starting to say everything and is putting three words together more recently. He is very LOUD! He loves a ball! He has many of them.....and wants them all at the same time. He has many faces.....but the one that I love the the smiling one with the two beautiful dimples! He is so cute!

L.J. is four now and as you can see from his pictures.....he is one handsome little guy! He will begin a pre-kindergarten program in a couple of weeks. He is really into Super Hero's and Nintendo DS. He is stingy with his kisses...and I have to steal them all of the time. I just love him to pieces!

Still overworked....and under paid! Aren't we all???? I have been so busy this last year with taking on more duties. I keep thinking more and more about retirement and hope that in about 15 months I will be able to leave the State and maybe just work a couple of days at a fun job! Just this week, the Governor has imposed more furlough days for us. And who knows what will happen next year. They say the economy is changing.....but I'm not so sure about that. Time will surely tell.

I hope that you are all doing well. I see some of you on Facebook and think that maybe you have felt like I do about blogging. It just became to painful for me to try to come up with a post. My brain is frazzled from my job, I'm sorry to say.
But the friendships that I have made while blogging mean a great deal to me. I will never forget any of you. You are all dear to me.

Thanks again for your care and concern this last month. It means so much to have you all as my friends.

I am blessed to have these darling children in my life. Without them....who would make me smile so much?????

Please keep my daughter Kelli in your prayers. Yesterday she went for her routine OB check-up and the doctor could not find the babies heartbeat. She was sent for a sonogram and it was found that the baby had died. She was 16.5 weeks pregnant.

I can't begin to tell you how heartbroken our family is....but my concerns are for Kelli now. She will enter the hospital today, to have a procedure done to remove the baby. She is scared.....they will be putting her under. She doesn't know what to expect and is emotionally drained from this experience.

We are thankful for her three happy, healthy, beautiful children. But for her, losing a baby at any stage is just a huge thing. She has had two other miscarriages but was never this far along. And of course you ask questions over and over as to why these things happen. Sometimes there just aren't answers and we have to trust in the Lord to get through these difficult times.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers today. Thank you all so much.

Love - BJ

Well, Summer has finally arrived! I had hoped that we would go through the entire Summer without humidity. I don't know why I think things like that. When you live in Maryland, you have to expect that it is gonna be HOT! We have been so lucky thus far. The weather has been absolutely beautiful. I guess it's time for that ole stinky stuff!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Summer! I just came back from a week away....visiting with my family on the Eastern Shore. Kelli, Aaron and the grandchildren were in Ocean City, Maryland this past week too. I managed to spend a couple of nights with them before I headed to Salisbury, where I have more family; my sister's. It was a very good week. I cherish the time I get to spend with family as they all mean so much to me. My sister's are 74 & almost 77. So I feel especially blessed that they are both in pretty good health. At least they still like to shop!!!!

I have updated some pictures from the last week. My camera still remains a huge part of well as my laptop and my cellphone! I guess you could call me a "Material Girl". LOL. I NEED those items to keep me functional!

The grandchildren are growing so quickly and I enjoy them so much. They continue to bring me such joy...I can't imagine my life without those little darlings. And, the fifth one will be here in early January. I am happy to report that Kelli is finally feeling much better. Up to about a week or two ago.....she was really sickly. She will find out the sex of the baby very soon. I will keep everyone posted. Is anyone willing to wager any bets yet? The heartbeat is in the 160's. That's where the girl's were. Elijah's was in the 140's. If we go by that....we could have another little girl on the way! We don't care one way or the other. We welcome a healthy baby....any sex will do!

As always, you are all thought of much of the time. I'm kind of hooked on Facebook right now, playing Farmtown. It's very addictive, but you can spend as little or as much time on there as you want. Right! Just go check it out! I put my overalls on and plant me some crops! Oh my mercy be! You don't even have to know a thing about farming. I love my FARMPT!!!!
