Bumble Bee & Marigolds!

Misc. Pictures 065, originally uploaded by Mamaquita.

I've been using the manual setting more on my camera and am finding that I'm getting better pictures because of it. I've been using the aperture setting for close-up shots like this. if you are interested in reading more about aperture, go to http://thepioneerwoman.com and click on her photography tab and go to town!!!

That is a wonderful shot! I need to take the time some day and learn to use more manual settings. Thanks for the tip to go to PW.

Wow BJ you have been busy getting your blog all decorated for the Fall. It looks so warm and inviting, and all of your picture updates are so pretty. I will check out this site, because I do need to learn so much more about taking pictures. The fuzzy little bee looks cute on the flower. It reminded me to go see the movie "The Secret Life Of Bees" when it comes out. I read the book and it was a good book. Have a great day BJ!
Hugs,
Brenda too

BJ! That's brilliant!

First, I awwwwwwed at your header photo. SWEET!

So you are in manual, huh? I haven't tried manual setting yet. Next Spring I'm going to take an on-line photography course to learn my camera better and learn about aperture, etc.

Hey girl, you are way ahead of me!

I love it! Keep on working that camera. What are you using?
